Fadesola Adetosoye
Fadesola Adetosoye, known to many as “Fade Arewa,” is the most recent magi cube or co-host of the Pepper Soup Show. Fadesola made her debut to the media and entertainment world in 2009, when she began working with international artists on their concerts to the United States and international branding campaigns. Her resume includes working with Olu Maintain, DJ Zeez, Terry G, and the late DaGrin. More recently, she partnered with Beautiful Creations LLC to plan the MOOI Beauty of Africa Pageant, an event that helped raise awareness on the diversification of the African Continent. The event attracted over 200 attendees, and received media and press from multiple media outlets, locally and abroad.
A native of Washington, D.C., Fadesola experienced her first taste of the entertainment and media industries when she began freelance writing for a number of non-profit organizations’ newsletters and website in early 2006. Using radio and social media as platforms to educate the masses, Fadesola remains passionate and dedicated to improve the health outcomes of minority populations living at home and abroad. Fade Arewa uses her political charm and wit to engage her audience. Fadesola has been a featured speaker at a number of National Conferences, including the Minorities Interested in Research and Science Organization, sponsored by Maryland Delegate Shirley Nathan-Pulliam and the Massachusetts Governor’s Conference, hosted by MA Governor, Deval Patrick.
An activist at heart, Fadesola understands that at the cross-section of politics and entertainment lies an opportunity to bring about positive change.
In 2012, Fadesola plans to launch Faderemi Entertainment LLC, a public relations and branding firm, dedicated to providing image consulting and communication pitches to aspiring political candidates and entertainment.
Mavis Kubi
Mavis Kubi was born in Ghana, west Africa. She came to the states when she was 12 years old to complete her education in silver spring, Maryland. Mavis soon realized that she had a knack for public speaking and helping people so she immediately aligned herself with the influences that would put her in that position.
Mavis is recognized for her groundbreaking contributions to the field of exercise science. As an accomplished sports rehab and fitness expert, she brings innovation, energy and a genuine insight to all her endeavours that yield targeted results. Mavis lives the philosophy of embracing challenges and pushing the boundaries to achieve more for herself and her clients.
After completing her bachelors in kinesiology at the University of Maryland, Mavis established herself as a leader in her field, becoming one of the youngest amongst her peers to create a 12 week rehab and performance enhancement program for athletes . Additionally, she is currently the owner of BBM training and rehab services in silver spring, Maryland.
In addition to her position with BBM, Mavis is a highly sought-after keynote speaker who powerfully conveys her philosophy of strategic performance in young professionals in her field. Her passion for ‘motivating audiences to achieve their fullest potential in sports, business and life’ and ‘leading leaders to lead’ has received praise from the fitness and rehab community.
Recently she was approached with a great opportunity, a talk show called Africa in Demand. This talk show was presented to paint a better picture of Africa and Africans. Since Mavis has always wanted to be more involved in her community, she took the position to be one of the hosts, delivering Africa like you’ve never seen before.
Bisi Fagbohun
Bisi Fagbohun is the CEO and founder of Africa in Demand. In 2005 Bisi had the opportunity to travel to her hometown in Lagos, Nigeria to visit Her family. While there she realized that there is so much more to her country Nigeria than what is portrayed to the world by the Foreign media; for the most part Africa is currently portrayed as a poor helpless continent. This led Bisi to start thinking on what she as an individual could do to put a positive spin on things and happenings in Africa as a whole. Armed with a degree in Communications with a concentration on Media production in film and television from the University of Houston, Bisi decided to put her education to use for the betterment of the image of her country and the African continent. In 2007, Bisi started working on the concept of a talk show that would ultimately become known as “Africa in Demand". Once the vision became clear to her she began looking for people who shared her vision and put together an all-star team of individuals who shared her passion. In 2008 Africa in Demand, the talk show was launched with the help of some of Bisi’s closest friends and colleagues. Bisi Fagbohun has many talents, among her achievements and entrepreneurship she is also the CEO and founder of Beautiful Creations Entertainment and Talent Group, an event planning company based in Washington DC. She is a woman dedicated to her clients and shows that through the many hours she spends organizing, producing and promoting her events.
Armed with a minor in theater from the University of Houston, Ms Fagbohun has landed appearances in several television shows, to name a few; “ The District”, “The West Wing”, and a variety of music and theater productions including the recent African stage play "Dollars and Sense".
Bisi is a dynamic individual with varied experiences that span over a ten year period in the entertainment arena. As a result of her experiences as a model, actress and business owner Ms. Fagbohun is prepared to undertake a myriad of endeavors. Having achieved some success in the entertainment industry, Bisi is inspired and driven to provide a platform through media to educate, entertain and showcase things about her homeland Africa.
Bisi is the founder of “Africa in Demand” and currently co- produces and co-hosts AID with Mavis Kubi.
